THE CHRONOLOGY OF OUR ESTEEMED INSTITUTION
2002

On 01.01.02, Our former director, Mr Hong Ke Yin passed away. A sum of RM 15,000 was donated to the school and a classroom was named after him in his honour.
On 07.01.02, School term started. Enrolment was 870.
On 18.01.02, School's opening ceremony, officiated by our Chairman, Mr Lim Kok Cheong. The 47 new computers were installed for use.
On 14.03.02, Chairman of Dong Zong, Mr Lin Huang Sheng passed away.
On 16.03.02, Talk by Ms Zhang Yu Jin organized by the Counseling Department.
On 18.03.02, Former Chairman of Dong Zong , Mr Lin Huang Sheng passed away.
On 19.03.02, Our Principal and teachers attended the funeral service of Mr Li Huang Sheng in Kajang.
On 01.04.02, Organised an exhibition to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of the establishment of Chinese Independent Schools in Perak..
On 13.04.02, Our student, Yong Kit Mun obtained all As in the U.E.C Junior Section and obtained the Hai Hua scholarship.
On 15.04.02, Talk on the philosophy of Confucius by Mr Zhang Zi Shen organized by the E.C.A. Department.
On 27.04.02, Held the preliminary round for the 9th Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools organized by The Chinese High School, Singapore.
On 11.05.02, Won the Championship in the Perak Chinese Independent Schools Bahasa Malaysia Forum Competition.
On 17.05.02, Harmonica presentation by the senior members of the Y.M.C.A., Kuala Lumpur.
On 18.05.02, Held the 11th Sports Meet . Mr Lim Kok Cheong and Mr Tan Chin Meng officiated the launching of the ceremony.
On 20.05.02, Khor Khee Eng obtained a scholarship of 5000 pounds from Lee Foundation to further his education in the United Kingdom.
On 15.06.02, Became the Champion in the 13th Perak Chinese Independent Secondary Schools Table-tennis Competition. Lee Guo Li was chosen to represent the Kinta II Table-tennis Competition.
On 29.06.02, Tan Hoe Kit from 1J5, obtained 2nd placing in the Ipoh Chinese Speech Contest (Junior Section).
On 17.07.02, Attained 2nd placing in the 13th Perak Chinese Independent Secondary Schools Volleyball Competition.
On 17.09.02, Celebrated Mooncake Festival and held the 9th Asia-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad for Primary Schools Prize-Giving Ceremony (Ipoh centre).
On 06.10.02, Celebrated the schoolˇˇ 47th anniversary and the P.T.A.ˇˇ 23rd anniversary with Education Fair and Food and Funfair. Total amount raised was RM111,859.
On 06.01.02, Held the 35th (Senior Section) and 42nd (Junior Section) Graduation Ceremony. Top students were presented with the Magnum Financial Assistance Award.
