study and research and a medium of instruction in
certain subjects in the school |

To promote the use of English among members. |

To practise the use of the language in various
real-life situations and organized |

To visit organizations which use English as a
communicational tool. |

To exchange ideas, information, knowledge and
skills with English Societies in |

To learn English via multimedia materials such as
movie, audio tape, VCD, |

games, Internet, newspapers, magazines and books. |

To carry out special duties assigned by the
